A Perfect Time For…A Plan That Actually Works???

Word on the street is that things are looking pretty bleak down at Travelhost Headquarters in Dallas, Texas these days.

People all across the country are talking about the sustainability of the Travelhost business model.

As they should.

What’s in store for Travelhost Magazine’s network of Associate Publisher’s?

It’s been almost a year now, since due diligence has been available online for the “Travelhost Opportunity.” This information has proven to be vitally important to entrepreneurs all across the country!

Here at THE PUBLISHERS ADVOCATE, we get emails regularly, with notes of thanks, as people across the country are researching Travelhost. Apparently, most investors aren’t happy with what they’re finding out…and rightfully so.

Thank you on September 25th

I guess I’d be happy too, if I stumbled upon shocking information on a company I was doing my due diligence for…especially when the important information has been completely left out of the description Travelhost gives you!

See, if this information was available to ME when I was researching Travelhost, it would have saved ME about 250 THOUSAND dollars. I’ve quantified that in earlier posts, but may revisit it in the near future. Perhaps for our 1 year anniversary.

That’s a lot of money, no matter where you come from…

My point? It doesn’t have to be this way.

Isn’t now the perfect time to change the model, and stop ripping your associates off?

Implement a “Plan that Works.”

It’s been available on my website all year long…maybe now is a good time to take a second look?

It doesn’t seem like what ‘s being done now is really working…does it?

It seems odd that Travelhost has seemingly spent THOUSANDS of dollars trying to hide the things they’re doing to rip off their associates, but won’t spend ONE NICKEL in fixing the problem.

It’s too bad, because investors can see right through the plan now…and it’s not going to get any better until the model changes.

Perhaps the chairman, Mr. James Buerger, doesn’t even care about the success of his dwindling number of associate publishers throughout the country?

This is evident to me, as his inaction has spoken volumes…and I think the Associate Publishers know it.

And, now future investors know it too.

Hopefully “the great wizard” will change his mind, and come out from behind that curtain…Mr. Buerger, are you listening?

I can’t thank you enough, Brian, for keeping up the fight.
Travelhost doesn’t know what it’s in for, but after 42 years of corruption, they ought to.

I could go on for a day writing vicious word after word about the utter hate I have for them in Dallas, but it’s all been said before in one form or another.

I just get a kick out of the fact that all the people who once stood up for and defended TH, on the board or otherwise, are no nowhere to be found. If that doesn’t say it all…

I would love to have lunch with Buerger now. I’ll bet he’s not so sure of himself and his practices. The ol’ BSer is in trouble.

Thank you Brian for all that you have done, are doing and will do. It is easy to hate a guy who has done what Buerger has done. He has a daughter who has done the same thing. But hating is more harmful to the hater than the hated. So, with Buerger and with a company like Travelhost, it’s best to expose them with facts and to the proper authorities and then let the chips fall where they may.

I think a person like Brian Ross of ABC News would be ideal to investigate what Buerger has done to countless people. During my time affiliated with Travelhost, I heard and saw a lot – a lot of very serious wrongdoing and unethical behavior. During my five or so years there I saw APs struggle and need help only to be dismissed by Buerger as only an Obama-like narcissist does. I watched as Buerger and his totally incompetent daughter act as though they were a king and queen. Truth is, they are the ideal “emperors with no clothes”.

Buerger is now in his 70s and time for him to make right is slipping away. Sad how a guy will hold on to the fleeting pursuit of paper wealth (as oppose to real wealth found in character), the pursuit of perceived power and self anointed value. The many APs, some of whom lost everything, did so while this guy looked down on them, blamed them and ultimately bankrupted them. The punishment of such is severe either now or on judgment day.

So don’t resort to hating Buerger. All of you deserve better than for this man and his daughter to continue robbing you. Hating won’t make a difference. Action like what Brian is doing will. Call ABC, call your Attorney General, reach out to your local media, etc.

For it is true that we all, including the emperor and his little daughter, reap what we sow.

    Let that comfort you.

Unfortunately, I recognized my folly several months after signing on in 2006 and paying my $60k AP fees. Over 4 years later, I’m still waiting for my $30k prepaid publishing expense (100%unused) to be refunded

Short of their territory being resold, has anyone had any success getting any portion of their money back? If so, how?

Thanks and good luck to all

That’s a good question…and makes me think of a few other questions, which I’ll post soon. I haven’t heard of anyone being “refunded” by Travelhost. Are you referring to the “AP fee,” which includes your “two full pages of national ad space?”

I have heard, through the grapevine, of an AP or two who may have asked for their money back before they publised their first issue…but I’m not sure of the status of that.

Once you give money to Travelhost, you can kiss it goodbye, in my opinion.

I got out before ever publishing for my territory. As part of the severance agreement, TH would refund my $30k prepaid and unspent publishing money once they resold the territory. Four years later and still waiting……

Any ideas for getting some level of financial relief?
